Will You Love Me Tomorrow

Carole King

About “Will You Love Me Tomorrow”

Carole is frequently asked about these lyrics, which portray the uncertainty of a young woman dealing with sex. However, they were written by her then-husband, Gerry Goffin. King wrote the music.

The song was originally recorded by the Shirelles who took it to No. 1 in the charts in 1960, becoming the first African American female group to top the charts in the US.

The B- side is Boys also recorded by the Beatles – found on the Please Please Me Album

It was banned by some radio stations because of the (very mild) sexual innuendos.

This is not the single cover – the B-side was “Boys”, and not Soldier Boy, which was not released till 1962.
